This GPS dog fence works fairly well for small dogs and is easy to set up using the app — the 1-minute boundary setup is definitely a plus. I also like that there’s no subscription required and the battery life is solid. However, it doesn’t seem as reliable for larger dogs — the signal can be inconsistent, and the GPS accuracy could be better. If your dog tends to roam or you’re using this in a more open area, the boundary can shift a bit more than expected. Still a decent option for smaller pets who stay closer to home.

works great, easy setup, no subscription.

I’ve been using this GPS dog collar system and found it super easy to set up and use. Within just a minute, I was able to define a custom boundary using the app, and I like that I can switch between a circular or 4-sided fence. It uses satellite view only (no traffic or street map), which actually works well for placing boundaries precisely. The collar feels solid and is waterproof—great for outdoor use. The app interface is straightforward, and there's no monthly fee. I’ve used it around my property and found the GPS tracking and boundaries to be quite precise. One of the best features is that I can set up a boundary anywhere we go, which is perfect for camping or traveling. Battery life is long, and the signal is reliable. One minor note: it uses a 2-pin magnetic charging cable instead of a standard USB.

Good bang for your buck

This GPS Dog Fence is a game changer for anyone with a large yard or a dog that loves to roam, providing a reliable virtual boundary without the headache of digging for wires. The standout feature is definitely the no subscription model; once you pay the upfront cost, you have full access to the GPS containment and training features without monthly fees. The setup via the app is intuitive, allowing for customizable boundaries that are perfect for open fields or camping trips, and the 2 in 1 collar which combines fence alerts with remote training modes like sound, vibration, & static makes it highly versatile for behavior correction. It’s rugged, waterproof, and the rechargeable battery holds up well even for active dogs, making it a solid, cost effective investment for off leash peace of mind.

My reviews
GPS dog fence works well in large open areas, but accuracy can vary

The collar feels well made and comfortable, and it’s waterproof with a battery that lasts through a full day of use. Setting up the virtual boundary in the app is straightforward, and I like that there are multiple warning modes like sound and vibration. The system does work once the dog learns the limits, but the GPS isn’t perfectly precise. There can be some margin of error, especially near trees, so it works best in large open spaces rather than small yards. Not really a set it and forget it solution, but it does the job with training.

Gps collar that works if you have space

I have been testing this gps dog fence on my lab mix for a few weeks now in our big backyard, mainly to keep her from wandering toward the road without digging up the yard for wires. It is a rechargeable collar you set boundaries for through an app, no base station or subscription needed, and it mixes training vibes with beeps, vibrations, or shocks when she nears the edge.First walks out there went ok: I drew a rectangle about 1000 feet across on the app, let her sniff around with just tones on low, and she started respecting it after a couple days of back-and-forth. One afternoon she bolted after an animal I couldn't see fully; got a vibe reminder about 40 feet from my line, turned back quick, no drama. Tracks her spot live too, which is handy when i am grilling and she is out romping. What is solid: waterproof collar holds charge a full day of play, app lets me tweak zones or add no-go spots easy, and it fits medium dogs without choking. No monthly fees beats the pricier ones. The catch they admit up front: about 50 meter margin of error means your "fence" needs real room, like 2-3 acre plus, or your dog could drifts into the neighbor's bushes before it warns. Trees mess with it some too, so i stick to open areas.Gives peace of mind for big yards, but tiny lots will frustrate you. 4 stars for what it does.

A Decent Training Tool but Requires Patience

My overall experience with this item has been mixed but leaning positive. The hardware itself feels sturdy and well-made, with a collar that is both waterproof and comfortable for my dog to wear. It is lightweight enough not to bother a larger dog and the adjustability makes it versatile. Setting up the virtual boundary through the app was straightforward, and I liked that I could choose either a circular or rectangular perimeter depending on the space. In terms of functionality, the system does work, but it takes consistent training to get reliable results. The GPS is generally accurate, but it can occasionally be off by a few feet, which means you need to supervise initially until your dog fully understands the boundaries. I really appreciate that there are multiple alert modes, and I personally avoid using the static correction, relying instead on sound and vibration cues. The portability and lack of subscription fees are major pluses. Being able to use this at home, on a farm, or even while camping is a great benefit. That said, this is not a set-it-and-forget-it solution. It requires involvement and patience to get the most out of it, and I would not rely on it as the only method of keeping a dog secure. Once properly trained, though, it does provide a nice sense of freedom for outdoor time.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought the this after reading the product description and seeing it advertised as “upgraded,” “customizable,” and “great for all breeds.” I chose this product over others because it claimed to offer fast setup, no monthly fees, and remote training features—all important factors for me as a dog owner trying to manage a large and powerful German Rottweiler. Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of my worst pet-related purchases.Safety:This device failed my most important requirement—keeping my dog safe. Despite carefully setting the boundaries in the app (multiple times), the GPS signal was wildly inaccurate. On several occasions, the collar either didn't respond at all or warned my dog when he was still within the safe zone. Once, he completely crossed the boundary without any alert or correction. A GPS fence that randomly fails is not just useless—it’s dangerous.Size:Although the collar fit physically around my dog’s neck, it clearly wasn't built with large breeds in mind. The static correction seemed far too weak for my 120-pound Rottie, and the build of the collar itself felt flimsy compared to more robust options on the market.Functionality:The remote training function was inconsistent and confusing to use. Sometimes the collar responded, sometimes it didn’t. I tried everything—firmware update, resetting, re-pairing. Still unreliable. The app constantly dropped connection or froze, which made me question the entire system’s stability. The idea of setting boundaries “in one minute” is laughable; sure, you can technically draw a circle on the app fast, but getting it to actually work correctly? That’s a different story.Value for money:This was not worth the money, especially for the quality received. For the price, I expected much better performance and reliability. A “no subscription” model is great in theory, but only if the product actually works.Durability:After just about two weeks of light use, the collar’s buckle started to loosen, and the waterproof claim was put into question after my dog rolled through a shallow stream—after that, the collar’s functionality became even more erratic. For something meant for outdoor, active dogs, this device feels cheaply made and fragile.Ease of use:Setting it up was technically easy, but getting it to work properly was a nightmare. I spent more time troubleshooting than actually training my dog. The app interface is clunky, with poor instructions and bad responsiveness. So basically: if you have a large, strong dog like a Rottweiler, do NOT trust this product to keep them safe. It may work for smaller, more passive breeds, but for larger dogs, it’s unreliable and borderline dangerous. I wanted peace of mind—what I got was frustration and a collar that belongs in the junk drawer. Avoid.
