Dogs love freedom - to wander about and explore; no different than most people really. However, as Pet Parents, it is our responsibility to keep them safe. Part of keeping them safe is allowing them to run and play, but at the same time know their boundaries. Personally, I am NOT a fan of shock treatment, but use of Tones and Vibration is absolutely a more humane training method. The YHPet GF03 Dog Fence allows you to use (or choose) amongst all 3 corrective methods and for my testing I only used Tone and Vibration.This setup is 1-and-Done in that there is no subscription fee involved. Once you've purchased, the App download is free, setup is easy, and everything you need is clear and straightforward. This is definitely a positive for those not wanting to mess around with another subscription cost. HOWEVER, the trade off here is the initial purchase cost - it is steep, in my opinion. But once again, one and done!There is a learning curve here for your pet. The manual describes how to approach training, and it works well when you take the time to teach your pet exactly what it means when Tones and Buzzes occur (ie. That's far enough). The ability to manually correct is a huge plus for those times when you wish to initiate a correction earlier. For those more stubborn dogs, the option of using the Shock function is there, but this is a last resort for me.The waterproof rating is important for outdoor training, and effective range in real world testing was in excess of 100 feet for manual correction via App. What I love is the ability to set both a Circle and 6-Sided Boundary for training - as I training my Doodle (Layla) to know her Boundaries at both home and remote cabin. Battery life is respectable and easily lasted 3+ days at the cabin.GPS accuracy is hit and miss, but this is true with almost all GPS devices. For best accuracy clear, unobstructed skies are essential and even heavy overcast/rain/clouds can lessen the effectiveness. Real world testing (for my purposes) wasn't extremely detrimental to training, but still important to know.Overall, the YHPet GF03 is a means to help train your pet and keep them safely within acceptable boundaries. For those not concerned about pricing, I would certainly recommend. For those who are price conscious, there may be other option more amenable to your budget.Definitely deserves 4star based on function and quality, would approach 5 star if pricing was lower.

Bien vérifier la compatibilité avec la taille et le poids de votre chien (medium à large). Bien faire la phase d'apprentissage pour que le chien comprenne les limites. Notez qu'il n'est pas optimal pour les zones avec beaucoup d'arbres, car ceux-ci peuvent empêcher quelquefois de laisser passer le signal GPS, faisant ainsi en sorte que le chien puisse sortir de la zone définie. Works mostly as discribed. Down side it won't stay connected to app therefore you can't beep tbe dog to call her back. If it could do that I would rate a solid 4.
